Transforming Employee Wellbeing Programs to Meet Workforce Needs
On this special edition of Navigate’s People First podcast, Troy and Jeremy are joined by special guests Jim Barclay, Senior Vice President of Operations, and Brooke Ossenkop, Vice President of Marketing, for a year-end review and a look ahead to 2025. Together, they explore Navigate's key initiatives, including personalized well-being programs, data-driven insights, and a holistic approach to employee health, along with exciting new features coming soon to the Navigate platform.
Looking back on 2024’s milestones
Our conversation kicked off with a dynamic recap of 2024—an incredible year marked by significant milestones. We spoke about the strategic mergers and acquisitions that have bolstered our capacity to make a difference. “Our growth is not just in numbers, but in the depth of care we can now provide,” noted Jim, emphasizing how these moves empower us to serve our clients better.
Total Health isn’t just a program; it’s a movement.
Personalization has been a central focal point for Navigate in 2024, and the standout success of our Total Health initiative has been remarkable. Total Health is a personalized wellbeing initiative that integrates physical, mental, and emotional health to empower individuals to improve their overall quality of life. By offering personalized health coaching, preventative strategies, and continuous support, Total Health ensures that care is relevant, accessible, and adaptable to each individual's unique needs.
A look ahead to the future
Continuing on the topic of personalization, the team discussed the upcoming UI/UX enhancements to our platform that are aimed at advancing personalization. The team discussed upgrades that will create a more intuitive and user-centric design, allowing easier navigation and a tailored experience that aligns with individual user preferences and health goals.
These improvements are critical in ensuring that Navigate remains at the forefront of offering personalized, effective wellbeing solutions. By focusing on personalization, Navigate aims to enhance user engagement and satisfaction, providing a seamless and impactful wellbeing journey for each participant.
The new UI/UX experience launched on January 1st, 2025.
Embracing ‘people-first’ wellbeing
Our dialogue then explored what it truly means to put people first in wellbeing. As Jeremy succinctly put it, “Wellbeing is personal—because everyone’s path to health is as unique as their story.” This approach highlights our emphasis on tailored wellbeing solutions that honor each individual’s journey.
Key conversations throughout 2024 highlighted how preventive care can be a game-changer in enhancing quality of life. Integrated into our Total Health and Health Coaching initiatives, preventative health measures don’t just prevent illness; they promote vitality. “Prevention is the art of prolonging the joy of living,” Brooke shared, reminding us of its profound impact.

Using data to address root causes of employee health issues
Our conversation went on to explore how Navigate uses insights to identify and address the root causes of employee health issues. By analyzing participant data, the organization can proactively implement interventions tailored to prevent long-term health complications and improve overall employee wellbeing.
This data-driven approach allows for a deeper understanding of employees' specific health challenges, leading to more effective and targeted wellbeing programs. The use of data ensures that interventions are not only reactive but also preventative, promoting sustained health improvement.
Holistic health beyond the physical
Extending health beyond the physical was another enriching topic. We delved into the significance of mental and emotional wellbeing in creating comprehensive health strategies. Jim pointed out, “Our mental and emotional states are the pillars of our wellbeing—strengthening these supports the entire structure.”
Our commitment to holistic health aligns with broader societal goals, aiming to create a ripple effect of positive change. “When we prioritize health in its entirety, we’re contributing to a healthier, more resilient society,” noted Jeremy.
Ending on a high note
As we look toward 2025, we are energized by the possibilities to enhance lives through innovative, caring, and personalized wellbeing solutions. At Navigate, our journey isn’t just about developing services; it’s about fostering a healthier, happier way of life for everyone we touch.
